Landscape
An interactive work in which a different landscape rises for each visitor, drawn from their own bodily responses.
Its motif is ichinen sanzen: the idea that countless possible worlds dwell within a single moment of the mind. The seven strange rocks along the Yamadera Tendai Path were 3D-scanned and recomposed as translucent objects.
Hold your smartwatch over the device and that moment’s bodily response is read in: water flows, moss grows thick, wildflowers open, and at last ice quietly forms. From the smallest change born inside you, the many faces of nature rise up.
The seven strange rocks that became the motif: Inari, Ebisu, Bakuchi, Kuguri, Daikoku, Zō and Tenbō.

You can choose a date and time and buy your ticket from a phone or computer. No account is needed. Just enter the verification code sent to your email address. To enter, simply show the QR code we send when you buy. There is no need to stop at a counter on the day.

There is no limit on how long you may stay. Please take your time.

- Visitors of primary school age and younger must be accompanied by a guardian aged 18 or over.
- Pre-school children must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.
- Please do not run inside the museum.
- Please do not eat or drink inside the exhibition rooms.
- The exhibition includes darkness, flashing light, loud sound and moving images.

Can I cancel or change the date and time of my ticket?
You can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before your entry time. For some sessions the deadline has already passed at the time of purchase. The deadline for your session is shown during the booking process. We do not accept changes of date or time. If you would like a different session, please cancel and book again (the same session will not be held for you).
